How ToolsByJ uses Google user data

When you choose to sign in with Google, ToolsByJ requests only your basic Google profile information. ToolsByJ does not request or access your Google Drive, Gmail, Calendar, Contacts, photos, files, or any other Google service data.

The Google user data we access:

• Name — to personalise your account and show who is signed in.
• Email address — as your unique account identifier, to sign you in, and to contact you about your account if needed.
• Google account ID — to securely link your Google sign-in to your ToolsByJ profile.
• Profile picture (if available) — to display your avatar in the account menu.

How we use it: This data is used solely to create and operate your optional ToolsByJ account — to authenticate you, identify your session, display your account, and store the favourite tools, recent activity, and saved work that you explicitly choose to keep. If you choose to complete your profile, we also store the contact details you provide (such as name and phone number).

How we store it: Your account information is stored securely with our authentication and database provider (Supabase). Database Row Level Security ensures your records are accessible only to you while you are signed in.

How we share it: ToolsByJ does not sell your Google user data and does not share it with third parties for advertising or any unrelated purpose. It is processed only by the infrastructure providers that operate the service (such as Supabase for authentication and database, and Vercel for hosting), strictly to run ToolsByJ for you.

Retention and deletion: Your data is retained while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and its associated data at any time through the feedback page, after which it will be removed.

Limited Use: ToolsByJ's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is never used to train AI or machine-learning models.

What happens in your browser

GPA, timer, countdown, text, image resize, invoice, caption, calendar, and calculator tools are designed to run in your browser. Some tools use local browser storage to remember a setting or draft on the same device.

Optional ToolsByJ accounts

You may choose to sign in with Google. When you sign in, ToolsByJ receives basic account details needed to identify your session, such as your name and email address. ToolsByJ does not request access to your Google Drive, Gmail, or files.

My Space

For signed-in users, ToolsByJ stores favourite tools, recently opened tools, and only the GPA records, countdown snapshots, caption snapshots, and invoice record details that the user explicitly chooses to save. Row Level Security is used so those rows are available only to the signed-in user. Local browser drafts may remain on the device separately.

Feedback

When you use the feedback form, the details you submit are sent to the feedback service configured for ToolsByJ. Only share information needed to explain your issue or idea. Do not send passwords, banking information, government ID numbers, or private documents.

Future file tools

ToolsByJ does not currently accept PDF, image, audio, or video uploads. Before file tools are published, each will include clear storage, deletion, security, and processing information.
